Pay it forward ~ Roadside for Families with Bryan and Heather

Meet Bryan and Heather. Where do I begin to tell you about these two? Hummmm….one fun interesting fact is that Eric introduced them back in 2002! Needless to say we have know them for a while and they are quite possibly the sweetest most giving people we know. These two are such amazing people and their fun personality shows in these photos. Heather is an awesome photographer that I am proud to say is part of the Soli Photography team. She’s one of the first to inspire me to go forward with my photography business and I owe her the world! She would say, “No Megs, that’s just what friends do.” Well Heather, you are right, so friends also give photo sessions too! I hope you guys enjoy this slideshow, we love you (:

PS: Roadside for familes is a project dedicated to giving back to photographers. Eric, Madyson and I were photographed by the super fab Meggie Velasco and in turn I was to photograph a family, hence Bryan & Heather. Now Heather will pay it forward to another family soon! If you are a photographer and would like more information check out this link Roadside for families. To check out a few from our session with Meggie click HERE.

Seussical at The Cumberland County Playhouse Crossville, TN

Last weekend I drove up to Crossville to meet an old friend who was performing in Seussical at the Cumberland County Playhouse….I don’t even know where to begin! I had such a great time watching the practice and performance. While being completely immersed in the songs, dancing and acting I photographed these amazing performers. I cannot say enough about this theater! I have always seen the commercials, as I am sure most of you have, but never thought about attending…what a mistake I made. Crossville is a short, BEAUTIFUL drive north about an hour and thirty minutes. This theater hosts professionals from across the country and spares no expense in obtaining the best. The music was amazing, the costumes were fabulous and the singing was nothing short of a Broadway play!

By the way, my old friend is Melinda Ballard from Natchez, Mississippi. We met while I was in high school working at a restaurant under the hill called Wharfmaster’s House. It was her and her husband, John Ballard (and I think his mother too) that owned it that cooked the most delicious stuffed catfish, crawfish etouffee and stuffed filets I have ever tasted! It was at Wharfmaster’s where I met my husband, Eric…..they were a part of that love connection from the beginning! As you view the slideshow, you can see Melinda in a blond wig and pink dress….she is a Who in the play but bares a striking resemblance to Carol Brady!

Click HERE to view the slideshow. If you were a performer in the play and would like some of these photos please email me at meghan@soliphotography.com. (Not all photos are shown on this slideshow, there were over 200, please email if you are interested in seeing more photos of you!) Enjoy!

Quick session with the fabulous Margaret!

You might not know this but once upon a time I was a customer service rep at a large local insurance company while in college….That’s when I met super fun and fabulous Margaret! She’s been someone that I have always looked up to and she seemed to look out for my better interest as a newcomer to the corporate world. Well she called me a while ago and asked if I would snap a few headshots of her because (unbeknownst to me) she really enjoyed theater acting! She has such a sweet spirit and it shows in these sneak peeks. I can’t wait to see your next proformance at the Chattanooga Theatre Center! Your slideshow is not far behind Margaret. Thanks so much and see you again very soon!

Here’s a few pictures of the sweetest ladybug I’ve ever met….

Yes that’s a car key she’s handling above….and here is her reaction when I took it away!
