Madyson’s first haircut ~ Salon 30A Chattanooga, TN

My baby is growing up! She will be 2 in about 6 weeks and finally we have enough hair to cut. She just needed a little trim to keep it out of her eyes so my fabulous friend Lauren at Salon 30A made it happen. Our other friend Christen happen to be there getting her haircut at the end of the day which made it all the more fun!

Waiting for her turn….

Very excited about her haircut!

Thanks Christen! Not sure what I was saying here, maybe something about make it quick I don’t know how long she will sit here (:

Banjos and bellies….

Amanda and I met in high school my senior year when I moved to Natchez, MS. Although it was hard to go to a new school that year, she’s one of the ladies that made it much easier! (And yes there’s of course Kathleen, Ginny. Kristin, Amy, Jenny and Shelly, I love you girls and miss you terribly!). You have heard of Amanda before on this blog, we photograph weddings together and yep, she’s amazing! She’s recently moved from Seattle to Johnson City where her husband, Ryan is attending medical school. She’s photographed the life of my child for over a year now, well the tables have turned! It’s just a bonus that she’s pregnant now and I can return the favor. Since they are so close now, visits are much more frequent! Here’s the first post of many starting with a few fun “maternity” shots on their front porch of the sweetest house ever…..

By the way, congrats to Brad and Kathleen on the newest edition to their family, William Bradley….can’t wait to get my hands on that sweet boy!

I seriously can’t wait to meet Liam James….only about 30 days left, woohoo!

Awwwwww!

I love Amanda’s laugh, it’s so fun and a reminder of my childhood (:

Congratulations Moises and Rachel!

I met Rachel last year, she’s a very decisive gal…she knew exactly what she wanted when we met, my kinda girl! We didn’t meet for an engagement session, but a few months ago I was invited to Moises and Rachel’s engagement party and what a wonderful opportunity to get to know you both! I watched Moises talk among his friends while looking across the room at his future wife and listened in as Rachel talked about Moises to some friends. I love how aware these two are of each other, it’s very compassionate, very loving and refreshing to watch. It’s also a bonus that they and are very aware of my camera! At those very moments where I am sending out my telepathic waves in a crowd ”Look at me!” that’s right when they stare directly into my lens, what timing!

Thanks so much guys, it was a pleasure spending the way with you and your families. Here is your sneak peek slideshow, more to come soon! Click HERE.

Elmo was hungry, obviously….

I was running Madyson’s bath after dinner the other night and noticed that she was awfully quiet in the kitchen. I walked in to find her stuffing hot dogs into Elmo’s mouth! I stood above her with my hands on my hips (picture your mother when you are in trouble for accurate visual) and asked sweetly what she thought she was doing. Just as nicely as I asked, she looked up as she pointed to Elmo, “Elmo hungee”….oh yeah he was hungee alright!!

“Deal with this mom,”

Love, Mady.

Live it! Chattanooga Realty

Wow what a fun session! I had the fabulous opportunity to photography a new realty company in Chattanooga, Live it! Realty. We started off at probably the most amazing sculpture studio downtown, my favorite of course….Cessna Decosimo’s studio. The ladies of the hour are: Shannon, Jenny, Christy, Charlotte and Connie….I almost felt like it was at high fashion shoot or maybe Sex and the City insprired with how these ladies brought that sass! You five were so natural and it made my job easy. We moved outside and strolled along Southside to snap a few shots individually. I loved how each of their personalities came out in front of my camera, it was great! Scroll down for some of my favorites after you go ahead and make plans for their Tuesday night party! I will be there for sure!

If you are looking for something fun to do this coming Tuesday night, why don’t you come on down to the Live it! office for a  meet and greet? Here are the posted details:

Live It! Realty invites you to get to know who we are and what we’re about at our very first Open House and Bastille Day party! Swing by and grab a snack and beverage and enjoy the music of Dana Rogers. Also, you’ll learn about all the exciting things in store for Live It! and the Chattanooga community.
Be sure to come by Tuesday night to meet these amazing women in person!
