Logo of the Day

I checked my email this morning to find that my logo, designed by the amazing Stever Hamaker, was featured on Logo of the Day! Steve worked very hard to design a logo that suits my personality and meshes well with my photography and I think he did just that. Thanks again Steve, you are the best!

You can vist their website http://logooftheday.com/ and vote for my logo if you like it!

Also, Jacob (one of the judges) runs a really cool website/blog about branding and logos, check it out:

Congratulations Kris and Hollie!

Top 3 reasons why I love Kris and Hollie:

#1 Their love for one another is displayed in the simplest of gestures.

#2 They treat people (including myself) like gold.

#3 Their quirky, raw emotion is intoxicating!

Kris and Hollie were married this past Saturday in front of a couple hundred supportive friends and family. We started the day at the Doubletree (love that hotel!) then ran over to the old Courthouse lawn for some photos with the bridal party. At the end of our fast and furious photo session, the owner of The Tin Can came out and offered to buy the bride and groom a drink….we sure wish we could have taken him up on that offer, but there was a ceremony to get to! Thanks anyways nice owner. After the ceremony at First Baptist we headed back over to the Doubletree for the reception. The night included delicious food, great music and a special performance from some of their amazing break dancing friends!

Thanks to the Goins and Gilreath family (and all the other family last names) for your hospitality, and thank you Kris and Hollie, you are super fab and it’s been a pleasure getting to know you both.

Special thanks to Brittany Moncrief who happily teamed up with me to photograph this extraordinary wedding, you are awesome Brittany!!

This couple is crazy awesome….

Kris and Hollie opted to see each other before the ceremony….love catching these sweet moments (:

Hollie’s maid of honor had her green Chucks custom made with her wedding date, so cool!!

I love the details that went into this wedding….especially the fact that the cake was made to match the invitation and program design! Invitations were custom design by Michael Mahaffey.

Welcome to the world William….

Kathleen has been one of my best friends since high school and I love her dearly. Her and her husband Brad welcomed their second child, William a few weeks ago….congratulations! I was thrilled to be able to spend time with them as well as document the first few days of William’s life. This will be the first of many friends’ new babies I will be photographing this year….Amanda is next and hopefully I will get to meet other close friends’ children soon (Evie and Josiah hopefully sooner than later!).

Kathleen and Brad you give new meaning to the words awesome parents. You handle each moment with Cait and William with such ease. These two beautiful children are blessed to have you both! I love you guys.
