Jonathan & Lindsey – Engaged

Lindsey was sent to me by her own sweet mother, Jenny, who I have know for several years now….they are precious, precious people and I’m thrilled to be photographing Lindsey and Jonathan’s wedding October 2012!

Lindsey grew up on Graham street in Chattanooga so we thought no place was more appropriate. We stopped off on random house fronts, including the one she and Jonathan used to live in and one that Jenny still owns.

Thanks so much for meeting me for this session…on with the pictures!

Josh & Heather – The Honeymoon

“You mean you actually went on their honeymoon with them?” That’s the typical question we received when telling people we were going to Disney World with Josh and Heather for their honeymoon. And yes, we did go with them, yes it was amazing and no we didn’t crap their style their entire honeymoon! After their wedding on October 1st, we left the following Monday and were able to hang out for one evening (my birthday actually at Downtown Disney) and then the next day we spent together at Magic Kingdom. The rest of the week they actually spent alone of course!

Thanks so much to you both for the crazy, awesome idea of bringing us on your honeymoon. I hope you are able to relive a small portion of it through our documentation of what we experience with you guys together. We love you both and are so thrilled to be a part of your lives!

The day we went to Magic Kingdom first began at Animal Kingdom where Josh and Heather stayed the entire week. What a cool view with animals outside such a nice hotel!

Oh yes, let the fun begin!

Right when we walked in there was a parade welcoming them to Magic Kingdom!

Bring on the heartburn.

So what if I over-documented the Winnie the Pooh ride because Pooh is my favorite (:

They are special but we love them (:

I’m pretty sure Josh is about to throw up here.

Disney always puts on an excellent fireworks show!

We had to get in one more at the end, thanks Heather!

The Smiths

I could seriously let these photos speak for themselves, but you know I won’t be able to do that! Rich and Heather Smith are amazing friends our ours and and also happen to be seriously awesome photographers. Rich was one of the first photographers in Chattanooga that I looked at when beginning my career as a wedding photographer. He’s always been an encouraging source for me as a photographer and he inspires me as an artist. If I haven’t told you already Rich, thanks so much for that!  He also recently photographed our little family, check out his amazing images from that session HERE.

Rich and Heather have two girls, Alana and Sierra. They are so adorable, it’s hard not to smile when you look at their cute faces. Their love for one another as a family when interacting is so sweet, you can’t help love being around them!

Thank you for having me document this sweet time in your lives with such precious girls! Eric and I adore you as friends and are so thankful to have you in our lives (-:

Alana loves her baby sister, Sierra.

Heather is such an amazing mother….you make me want to be a better one my sweet friend!

Somehow Alana knew I was back there (-:

I love how Alana’s arms are thrown up in the air as she’s laughing.

Knock, knock jokes from your Dad are always a crowd pleaser!

I couldn’t help but post this one because the little hand on Alana’s face belongs to her baby sister, Sierra.

Tony & Abby – Engaged

Abby must know lots of people, she’s always at a wedding in which we are the photographers!  I love it, because she’s got the inside scoop on how we work. Obviously she liked what she saw because I’ll be photographing their wedding next week! I think we first met at Hollie and Chris’ wedding in 2009…so technically I have Hollie to thank for this referral.

I’m thrilled for you both, Tony and Abby, and I’m excited to meet your families in just 8 short days, see you soon!

Tom & Heather – Married

Again with the referrals, you guys are killing me! Heather was sent to me by Jen and Jason who were married this past February, thanks guys! Come to find out, Tom actually works with Eric’s brother, Adam….we live in a small town (:

On Saturday, October 22nd, Heather and Tom were married at the Wedding Chapel in Chattanooga. They arrived at their reception at the Mill in style atop Chattanooga’s only Double Decker Bus. Heather’s flowers were designed by the fabulous gals at the Daily Flower (featured in our newsletter in October!) and her dress was selected at Monica’s Bridal. Her delicious cakes were made by the one and only Cup a Dee Cakes.

Thanks so much for choosing us to be part of your wedding day. We enjoyed getting to know you both Tom and Heather….we love you and your families dearly!

Andrew & Natalie – Engaged

I first met Natalie and her sweet Mom, Karen at a small anti-bridal show called This Ain’t Your Mama’s Wedding + Party Expo. She actually won this engagement session with a door prize drawing and I’m thrilled she chose us as her wedding photographers too!

Natalie and Andrew have been dating for years, but Andrew is in the Army and was called away for duty the majority of their relationship. I can’t imagine how hard it has been on them, but Andrew is finally home! They had only been back together in the same city for a few weeks when we met for this  session at Walnut Hill Farms so you should be able to feel the love!

Thanks so much for allowing me to document this special time in your lives. You two are beautiful, inside and out, and I can’t wait for your wedding next May!

Kyle & Megan – Engaged

You know you’re in for a fun session when someone brings a boat! I first met Megan when she was a bridesmaid in Hollie and Chris’ wedding in 2009. Fast forward two years….enter Kyle. She described him as everything she ever wanted. They  just get each other and it totally works!

Megan wanted to do a little something different for their engagement session and Kyle’s boat for wake boarding was the perfect thing! With the threat of rain the entire evening, it really almost seemed like our plans were going to be washed out. Right at the last moment, Kyle pulled up on their boat and the clouds parted to a beautiful, sunny afternoon. Perfection.

Thanks for sharing your fun-loving selves with us on this day! We enjoyed getting to know you both and can’t wait for the wedding next June!
