I’m thrilled about all these features, particularly because it solidifies we had some AWESOME couples in 2011! Congratulations to Drew and Chrissy for their wedding being chosen as a feature on Rustic Wedding Chic. Chrissy had some amazing wedding vendors that made her wedding day happen and she was excited to get them featured in appreciation of their hard work. Congrats everyone!

I’m so excited that Brady and Whitney were our first wedding of 2012! We knew it would be an amazing day as we were greeted with perfect weather as we arrived at the Doubletree Hotel. The girls got all dolled up with the help of Candace Hernández and then we headed over to St. Paul’s Episcopal for pre-ceremony photos. Whitney’s flowers were designed by Humphrey’s Flowers and they sure had an amazing set up at Fairyland Club for the reception! A-town A-list seriously kept everyone (us included!) having a wonderful time the whole night….if you’re looking for an extraordinary band check these guys out!

Brady and Whitney, I’m so happy that you guys chose us to photograph your wedding….your positive energy, laid back attitude and fun personalities made it so fun to document your wedding day. Ben and Melissa were married in Savannah, Georgia New Year’s Eve which happened to be our first New Year’s Eve wedding….and what an amazing day it was!  The day was perfect, 72 degrees with plenty of sunshine. Ben and Melissa decided to see each other before the ceremony, finding each other in Forsyth Park, surrounded by the sound of applause from all the observing tourists taking in the sights and sounds of the afternoon. We were treated to a wonderful experience, shooting with these two, against the back drop of the old town section of Savannah.

Following a few short hours of relaxation, they were married in Melissa’s Aunts home, followed by a beautiful reception on the property. The night was magic! Surrounded by loving friend and family, they celebrated the entrance of a new year and a new life together. What a thrilling way to end 2011! Opening 2012 with new beginnings and so much love.

We are thankful to have had the opportunity to witness this event and celebrate the New Year with this group of people. Wow 2011 flew by! As we use this time to reflect on an amazing year and reconnect with our family, we want to also take the time to thank (you!) our amazing clients for such a magnificent year! I’ve known Abby for several years since her friend Hollie got married, so technically I have Hollie to thank for the introduction! Tony and Abby were married at Abby’s sweet Mom’s house at an intimate ceremony with close family and friends. The ceremony was actually officiated by Hollie’s Dad, go figure! These two are an 11.11.11 couple, who say that they actually didn’t even think about it begin 11.11.11, sure you didn’t! Totally kidding, I believe them (:

What a special day Beth and Beau and how proud we were to be a part of it! The day started out at Level 10 Salon with the girls, followed by meeting up with the guys at Beth’s home church, St. Timothy Episcopal Church. After a beautiful ceremony with friends and family, the party moved to the Sheraton Read House to celebrate these two in grand fashion.

Tina Player with TP Events did a great job keeping everything running smoothy. We were thrilled to work with Laurel Powell with her floral design company, Poppy….the flowers looked amazing Laurel! The Infinity Show Band was absolutely amazing and they kept everyone dancing until the very end.

Congratulations Beth and Beau, we’ve enjoyed getting to know you two over the past year. Luke and Alexis were married last weekend at their home church in Crossville, Tennessee. It’s our second visit to Crossville this year because Luke’s sister, Lynsey, was married last month and we had the honor of photographing both weddings!

It was a tiny bit chilly the morning of the wedding, but the weather was just perfect for all our pre-ceremony photos. Some of my favorites from the day Eric captured of Alexis and her Dad right before walking down the isle, I love the emotion! Also, thanks to Lynsey and Chad for helping with Luke and Alexis’ portraits afterwards, it was a little windy and they were the perfecting lighting assistants!

We’ve quickly grown very attached to both families and we are thrilled that we were a small part of your wedding day….thank you all so much and we hope to see you again soon!

On Saturday, October 22nd, Heather and Tom were married at the Wedding Chapel in Chattanooga. They arrived at their reception at the Mill in style atop Chattanooga’s only Double Decker Bus. Heather’s flowers were designed by the fabulous gals at the Daily Flower (featured in our newsletter in October!) and her dress was selected at Monica’s Bridal. Her delicious cakes were made by the one and only Cup a Dee Cakes.

Thanks so much for choosing us to be part of your wedding day. You know you must have done something right to have a future bride (not yet photographed) refer you to her future sister in law….thanks Alexis, you’re so great! Alexis is marrying Lynsey’s brother, Chad, this coming November and I am super excited about their wedding,,,,but first, Lynsey and Chad’s post coming right up!

Chad and Lynsey were married a few weeks ago in Crossville, Tennessee at their home church. It was the most perfect day, cool with a little wind and blue skies. After they were pronounced Mr. and Mrs., we headed to the Crossville airport to have their reception in an airport hanger! It was our first wedding reception held in an airport hanger and I wasn’t sure what it would be like…upon arrival it was the perfect setting for their family and friends to enjoy one another. Lynsey first mentioned to me how important details were to her and that was displayed in her reception decor with the hanger filled with sunflowers. Sunflowers seem like the perfect symbol of Chad and Lynsey….they are so happy and sweet!

Their exit was a little untypical too, and I always welcome something new! Lynsey’s Dad loves flying and thought it would be a perfect idea to have the new couple exit the reception in a helicopter….when Lynsey first mentioned this, my immediate thought was, ‘oh my, she’s totally going to ask me to ride in that thing’….what would my answer be? Well ABSOLUTELY!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Crawford. Thank you to both of your families for your sincere kindness throughout the day, we enjoyed you all so much!
